About Konyat
Konyat was created with a simple mission: to connect the Myanmar community.
Our Story
Konyat began when Kaung Thu, who was born in Myanmar and is based in New York, saw an opportunity to make community information and connections easier to find.
Along the way, Kaung met Kuro, a developer who shared an interest in building something useful for the community. Combining Kaung's vision for Konyat with Kuro's technical experience, they began working together to turn the idea into a functioning platform.
Kaung currently leads Konyat as Founder and CEO, while Kuro serves as CTO and leads the technical development of the platform.
What started as a simple idea continues to grow, but the goal remains the same: to build something useful that helps Burmese people, businesses, and organizations find and connect with one another.
Our Mission
Community information is often scattered across social media, word of mouth, and separate networks. Businesses can be difficult to discover, opportunities can be easy to miss, and useful resources are not always easy to find. Konyat aims to bring these connections together in one place.
Starting in New York, Konyat helps people discover Burmese-owned businesses, find opportunities, connect with organizations, and access useful community information. As Konyat grows, we hope to build a stronger network where members of the Myanmar community can find, support, and connect with one another wherever they are.
